Should I buy the stock?

I own Trinity (TRN) and American Ecology (ECOL) but also like Olin (OLN) so should I sell one and buy OLN or just keep what I have?

I agree with you that OLN is attractive. Very solid business lines, solid management, solid balance sheet, solid prospects.

The quandary is, I could not make a case for selling either TRN or ECOL and would just be throwing darts if I tried to pick the best performer of the 3 stocks.

You obviously know what you are doing as far as stock picking, so I would tell you to go with your gut. If you feel that OLN's prospects are that much brighter than either TRN's or ECOL's, then you should make the switch. Otherwise, despite the different industries, you'd be trading apples for apples.

Just make sure the amount of shares you buy covers the trading and selling costs quickly.
