Question:

Should I buy this Skimboard? Is buying from eBay reliable?

Ive noticed alot of choice skimboards being sol on ebay at quite a discount. This begs the question, why so cheap?

Ive been looking at this board and am considering buying it, but I don't want to waste my time returning the board if it is somehow defective.

Any advice?

  1. This seller is a retialer, apparently.  He probably sells closeout and discontinued models at a discount.  You see this alot on Ebay.  If you are concerned, then check out the sellers feedback reports.  This is the best way to find out if other buyers are happy with the seller's products and their service.

  2. It's a buyers market on ebay for most people. There's no reason to be skeptical.

  3. Those power sellers on e-bay are very reliable; I've bought everything from concert tickets to cell phone batteries.

If you're a beginner, the board will probably be fine. I once bought a skimboard from e-bay for about $40. It was okay, arrived just as promised, and it was better than my old wood board. Once I got better, I dropped a little more cash & invested in a Zap. It's probably a perfectly fine board for a beginner, just not as top quality materials as the $100+ boards.

  4. A skim board is a type , not a brand.   So this may be a cheaper  brand.  I always pay close attention to the sellers feed back.    go through and see other purchases of the same item, and email those people and ask them if it's worth the money or if it's a cheap China made product.
