I am 6' tall -- is it too big for me? How much should I bid on it? It's located close to where I live so I wouldn't have to pay the shipping.

  1. Ball park you would be looking at a 21,22 inch bike give or take a bit depending on your body proportions.  So a 63cm roughly 24 inch bike would be on the high end but could still be acceptable to you. It shows signs of rust and bad care. There is a good bet you could spend 100-150 replacing worn out tires, rusted rims, rusted chainrings/chain/cassette.

Cheapest cassette at www.performancebike.com is $50 on sale. By comparison there is a bike in S FL on craigs list that looks in much better shape but might be a bit small for $300. There is a hybrid for 375. Now both bikes are photographed behind the same fence and have the same contact info. So make sure its not stolen before you buy.

So I would NOT recommend buying the bike. Keep shopping.

  2. heck yes go for it...its hawwt..

  3. I would definitely pass on this one if I were you. To begin with 63 cm is too big for you. But even if it wasn't I don't think that this bike is as high quality as the seller is making it out to be. The pictures weren't of a good enough quality to identify the components, but I couldn't identify any of them for sure. The rear skewer did say Campy, but that doesn't really tell you anything. Ebay is uaually a good place to find good deals on vintage bikes, but I don't think that this is one of them. If you really want something local, your best bet is Craigslist. Look for something more around the 58 - 59 cm range.

  4. its okay. :D. besides, its a vintage bike. KEWL!
