My son starts flag football tomorrow. He has zero experience playing. So I don't know for sure if he is going to like it? Is it necessary for him to have cleats, do you think??

  1. yes, it will get him better rfoot grip on the ground for running

  2. u should have your son watch usc football plays

  3. Often times teams will include use of cleats into the price of joining the league. Thats how it was for me in flag football when I was younger and in high school ball. However, if thats not the case it would be a good investment. Playing without cleats is not only difficult but can cause damage to the ankles and knees from slipping.

In my opinion, and its only an opinion your the parent you do what you feel is right, if he makes it through the first couple of practices without wanting to quit don't let him quit. If he has been assigned a position, especially starting, make him finish what he started. This will help him learn to follow through on his word and responsibilities. He doesn't have to play the next year.

  4. dont buy them yet   let him go to a couple of practices and then if he is sure he wants to play then buy them  i played last year for my high school team and this year i was sure i wanted to play and i bought new cleats but after a couple of practices i didnt want to play anymore  so i had to go return my cleats and the store all most didnt except them back but i said i only wore them once and then said ok and gave me the money back
