Question:

Should I call a prospective employer(retail book store) after submitting an online application?

I've always hated the idea of the online application because it's submission is less personal than if I were to hand it to a manager. Not to mention the fact that I have no idea how long it will take to relay my resume to the store so I'm a little bit lost on the best follow up strategy.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

  1. I say yes because you could ask them if they got it. and if they didnt them you could fill one out in person.

  2. Yes! Always follow up a resume with a phone expressing how much you would like the opportunity to work for the company. Your online application is like a resume.
