Should I call again?

Question

I have to get a hold of some people that will be going to my school, that I have never met before. I have to inform them of a school function by tonight.

I called around 1, and they didn't answer. I called around 4, again they didn't answer, but this time I left a voicemail. My teacher told us that we have to talk to them today.

So would it seem rude of me if I called again, (around 7ish) to see if they got my voicemail? It's really important to make sure they come to orientation....

You have done as assigned.   You were to call and inform.   You did.  It is up to them now to decide what they will do.   Good luck getting people to come to orientation...

I would wait until 8 o'clock to call because they might be eating dinner at 7.  

If they don't answer, I would just leave another voice mail.  Just tell your teacher that you left two messages and no one returned your call.  You can't make someone pick up the phone if they choose not to.

If you called twice and left a voice mail, you did what you could to get ahold of them.  I would not worry about it.

Call again. If it's really important that they come to orientation, it can't hurt any. Look at it this way; if they received your voicemail at 4 but decided not to tell you, then they're the ones being rude, so don't worry that you might be perceived as such.

you should just go over to their house and peek in their windows. they are probably avoiding you.
