Question:

Should I call the job back?

I worked in this grocery store a year and a half ago and I had voluntarily quit. I currently have a job and I had to take 3 months off due to football. The reason for this is because I can't work the hours at my current job but the grocery store has more convenient hours. I applied a new application stating that I worked there before. Should I call and talk to the human resource person or the managers who I already know or just wait.

  1. sure, what do you have to lose?  Did you leave on good terms - like give them notice- when you quit?  Were you a good worker before?  If so, you should call them and let them know how serious you are.  The early bird gets the worm.

  2. If you quit the grocery store on good terms, meaning, you gave them notice, I would contact them.

Never, ever, burn bridges, because you never know, if one day, you may have to return.

If you are in good standing with them, yes, definitely, give them a call.
