Should I change my broadband provider.

I should be receiving up to 8mb.In the past few months I am either not being connected or it is running painfully slow. Occasionally it works fine but not for long. .

If the problem is due to the local exchange being busy (this has been sited as the likely cause) then by changing to another ADSL provider wont the problem still be the same. Who owns or controls the local exchange? . Does each ADSL provider have their own exchange? As you can tell I don't know enough about the subject to make an informed decision.

  1. It really all depends on how far away from the exchange you are, the further you are the less speed, the closer the bigger speeds.

Exchanges will have many ADSL companies going trough it, so it's not nessecarly going to be that.

  2. will have same probs whith whoever you go with as sounds like you far away from exchange
