Should I change my disc brake pads?

They are a year old in August and Im having to adjust them like every week and they've been really bad at stopping

  1. yes, definetely. Thats a long time for brake pads


  2. take your bike to your local bike shop and get them to examine it because my brakes started doing that and i thought it was the break pads but it ended up to be a rusted cable
