Should I change my web hosting server? For Zen Cart shopping cart? and what about for my business info site?

I have a Zen Cart e-commerce site but I want some more customization to the template (one issue) and I also wonder if a different hosting site would result in more traffic and more online orders (a second issue.)

Can the selection of the hosting site result in more traffic and more orders? I selected who I've got because at the time I thought the inter-linking with all the other community sites they serve would benefit me. (The info business site.)

The e-commerce site came second, but now is my primary concern. My service provider and hosting site brought me to Zen Cart and have me set up but only adequately. I'd like to customize the template more (I can lean on them to get that done if that's really the only shortcoming) - - but I also wonder if they just aren't an expert host for e-commerce and that if I went with someone from Zen Cart's recommended list (or another big national).... that I'd get more orders.

Are security badges important? I see a lot of sites without.
