Should I change the grade of my eye glasses?

Our eyes keep getting weaker and weaker. Do I need to change the grade if I haven't done so in years? When I was younger, I changed it yearly.

  1. You should really go an have your eyes examined and let them decide. I just had to get a stronger prescription. I have them checked every year and my prescription gets stronger every time.

I was told it should slow down though and I probably wouldn't have to get it changed again next year. But I will still go to make sure

  2. Yes you should. You should have eye test every year. You get screened for pathology(disease) and your prescription gets checked. One's eyes tend to change every year and updating your prescription every year keeps your eyesight crisp and clear. You vision probably changed rapidly in your teens and twenties and it should have slowed down around 30 but your near vision deteriorates again from 40 onwards. At that age your risk for eye diseases is also higher.
