Should I come back? How's life in France?

I'll be moving out of my apartment this summer. I'll be headed to France to study before I come back to the states to move into a new apartment. I'm curious though...Should I come back? What do you think? How's life in France? Are the people there more tolerant and happier than Americans?

  1. Noone can help you on that, it all depends where you love the most to live. You can be absolutely miserable and home sick in France or find it's the best thing that ever happened to you. I don't know if we are more tolerant or happier, but we are different. You might love that difference.

    Have a nice time.

  2. They are both great places to live.  I would say live in the area where you will be the most happy and where you can have the best career.  Where do have your family and friends?  It sounds like you already know a bit about both places.  You can always visit the other place.

  3. Should you go back to France? The answer is no.

It's very hard to readjust to France once you lived in the US. People are lazy and vicious enough to give you a hard time just because you were in the US. Everything you learned will be of no use. Every experience you might have will not be recognized and the fact that you can speak English better than them might attract a lot of anger. And the more you will talk about your stay in the US the more people will feel they haven't done anything with their life. It's very hard to explain how difficult it is going to be for you here but after all you will know only once you will be here.
