I bought a DVD worth about $20 about a week from a seller that was...through Amazon Prime? (I'm not sure how to put it). Well, the shipping was free two-day shipping, so I think the item was through amazon. But when I received it, the packaging wrap was opened and THERE WERE NO DISC INSIDE. So I request a refund in Amazon and they processed the return mail labeling part, but after that they only said, Thank You! your refund will take about 7-14 days, blah blah blah.
I know a correct returning process from other sellers from an experience and this is definitely not the way to get a refund from other sellers. I know if I want to get a refund from other sellers, I have to send an email, but amazon just had me fill out the return details and do the mail labeling process. Should I track down this seller and get his email address and send an email before sending the item back? Or should I just ship the item and will the Amazon get me my refund without having me send an email to the seller??
Bascially what I am saying is, did I get the refund from Amazon or the seller? and did I have to send an email to the sender or not?
Please hurry, I'm leaving for a trip for a week so I need the reply by tomorrow.
