Question:

Should I cut my 2yr old daughter's bangs??

First of all, don't worry, if I decide to cut them I'll be taking her to a salon, lol! Anyway, as you can see from the picture at the bottom, my daughter has curly hair and her bangs are long. Now she usually pushes them to the side, but they are always falling in her face and she's constanly sweeping them out of the way. I've tried head bands, and hair clips... she pulls them out after 5 minutes and they end up getting lost. when I put her hair in a pony tail or pig tails, the bangs aren't long enought to go in the pony/pig tails so that doesn't help either. Anyway, should I cut her bangs? or just leave them as they are? Thanks!

  1. i would say cut them as well. she is adorable though! they boys will be after her thats for sure! and congrats on your wedding!

  2. How cute is she! Well yeah I am having the same exact problem with my daughters hair. I have chosen to leave them because as soon as you start cutting bangs you either have to keep it up or let them grow out which is why you cut them to begin with. It might look kinda silly but i put a ponytail on top of my daughters head so the bangs go up in it, which half of the time comes out but oh well. I guess just figure out if you want her to have bangs her whole young life or do you want to be able and put her whole hair back in a ponytail with no bangs?

  3. your daughter's adorable! I cut my own daughter's bangs till she was 2 1/2 now she is terrified of the scissors and won't let me cut her bangs. What I do is take her bangs and put it up into a little ponytail and then clip the ponytail back with a clip.

  4. She's a doll!  Her bangs are so close to being the same length as the rest of her hair.. and it is so hard to grown in bangs later.

You can fix her hair by using super-small bands and pulling just the bang section back onto the top of her head and putting it into a mini-pony tail.  Then you can either let the rest of her hair down or include the smaller pony into a larger one.   It also works dividing into small sectiosn and doing a series of small pony tails on top of her head.   We used to call these 'fireworks' because they can stick straight up on the head.  It looks cute.

  5. your daugter is adorable!

  7. I say cut 'em. Alot of kids look cute with bangs.
