Should I de-seed tomatoes for pico de gallo? I've heard it saves it from being mushy.?

  1. it is not needed just chop them up it will be fine


  2. Yes it's true. But it's no big deal if you don't want too. I make Pico de Gallo all the time and sometimes I de- seed them nd sometimes not.

  3. You can, but we never do.  

    I think it really depends upon what type of tomato you're using.  We use Roma's which are less "seedy" and a bit firmer.  If you're using Beefsteak tomatoes, you may want to seed at least 1/2 of them.

    All it's going to do is make the salsa wetter; it won't change the texture at all otherwise.

  4. I think u should de-seed it will get watery not mushy.

  5. De seed, its not the mushiness, it keeps the sauce from being watery. Try and get good ripe pomodoris, then you can avoid half the battle.
