1. Its up to you, if you enjoy running and or want to get in shape then id say yes.

If you absolutely hate running, then No!!

    Do what you want most!

  2. Sure, even if you don't do well, it will increase your endurance and it's good exercise. Give it a try.

  3. Yes, absolutely. I wasn't a good runner at all, but i joined track and feild and i felt alot better running, even more confident. It's normal to be nervous around better runners, but you don't have to impress anyone but yourself. Don't be discouraged .Just have fun and try your best. Good luck:)

  4. cross country is the best sport, but u have to work HARD at it since u do like 3-5 miles every day or every other day, so u have to practice everyday iin the summer!!

  5. its an amazing sport it takes more mental toughness then anything iv ever done

run everyday in the summer and u will shock yourself by how fast you get

  6. Do it if you want have a crazy tough mental attitude when you finish. Last year was my first year doing xc, and it taught me so much in perseverance and mental strength.

  7. i think you should definitely do cross country. not only is it good exercise, and mental toughness, you build great friendships with your teamates. they become part of your 2nd family :D

don't worry about being the best runner, coaches want EVERYONE to join :) i started having 8:15 mile, then i joined cross country and track, and now it's 5:40 after 1 1/2 years! it's really fun! you get to go, paint your body with your school colors (at state & CIF in California), cheer each other on at each other races.

plus its really good exercise. most schools just run 3-10 miles a day, but mine's a crazy mileage program 8) i didn't even like running in the first place, but my friends on the team made it soo much fun! we had a whole bunch of PE freshmen, too, who improved a LOT!

  8. Yes, train consistently all summer and you'll be surprised how many people you beat, but if you slack off.....
