Question:

Should I do my hair dark for autumn/winter?

I'm naturally very dark brown haired (almost black) but I've had it blonde for summer.

Shall I go back to a dark, warm colour for the cooler months? If so what colours would you suggest? I don't want something too plain of "flat", like some dark colours can be. I'm also considering a long side parted fringe.

I'm fairly pale skinned, with big, dark brown eyes and dark brown eyebrows and my hair is layer and razored to shoulder length - alhtough I'm trying to grow it out :o)

Thanks

  1. How about an auburn colour. It'll make you look like the trees in Autumn!

  2. How about a warm brown or chestnut colour?  I know what you mean about darker colours looking flat at times as I'm naturally dark myself but if you go for something with a reddish tint that shouldn't be the case!

  3. I do the same thing with my hair. I choose a medium brown with blonde highlights in them. I use Feria hair color and if you do dye it and you don't like it, you can always recolor it after a few weeks. Good luck!

  4. Dark is better and sexier for winter imo. Go for it :)

  5. yeah.

i think darker hair in winter looks lovely.

use a meduim brown. nothing to dark because of your skin colour.

if your feeling a little daring use a meduim brown with a tint of red.

    Good Luck x

  6. hmmm.. i agree, i think it's nice if you dye your hair a bit darker, maybe like a warm chocolate colour or chestnut, but make sure the brown is not too reddish. and perhaps you can put some caramel coloured highlights ontop?
