Should I do this? ?

I've been wanting to get my nose pierced for a year or so now but I'm afraid to because of where I work. We don't have a dress code but I work for a very "strictly business" type of company. We don't have casual Fridays and everyone always dresses nice. I'm afraid to talk to my boss about it. She's kinda snooty. If I get a tiny diamond piercing on my nose, do you think anyone will say anything or look down on me? I don't want this to hold me back. Thanks!

I would say it's ok as long as you get a very small one. maybe one that you can only see when you are standing face-to-face with someone.

Well my sister works in a place where it is "strictly business" and she rocks a nose and lip ring. She gets away with it because she purchased a clear nose ring. You can find them pretty much at any piercing store. Its a little stud that when you look at her you don't notice it at all unless you are standing an inch away from her nose. .

You should not do this until you find out what the consequences will be! If there is someone other than your boss that can help you maybe talk to them, does anybody else have piercings in your workplace? If you're still unsure you should talk to your boss despite her being "snooty", otherwise you could get it pierced and she could demand you remove the piercing or lose your job which is not a good situation to be in.
