Should I do this trade ( I proposed it )

Question

George Sherrill ( my guy to trade ) for Cliff Lee ( the person i would get ), F.Y.I. : i have 4 relievers, but if i trade sherrill i will have 3, and the only way to win more pitching collumns is if i have 4 relievers, but i could trade for another reliever.i also have kerry wood on the DL.

If he accepts the trade it'll be a miracle. No one would want Sherill over Cliff unless their closers suck. Cliff Lee has win totals of 14, 18, 14, 5, and currently 14 over the last couple of years. Sherill is a newbie closer, plus has high era for a reliever. I've managed to stay in first place with just two closers and a bunch of SPs. So, I'm leading the league in K's but I'm just fifth in saves. (Closers are Brad Lidge and Jonathan Papelbon)  anyway if he does accept then pick up a reliever from the FA pool like ron mahay, scott downs, jason isringhausen, jose arredondo or octavio dotel. Relievers give u saves, era and whip, but starters give more increase numbers.

I would deffintly propose that offer. Dont pay for saves! But I also dont see him accepting it. Maybe throw in a hitter with it to equal out the deal.

If you can pull this off you need to be a GM in the bigs.Sherril hurts your team more than helps anyway.His ERA and WHIP are terrible for a closer.What alot of people dont understand is that even if a closer gets 40 saves,if his whip is over 1.25 and era above2.5 he kills your overall pitching staff.If you can get Lee for him your my hero.
