Should I download the latest software for my ipod nano 3rd gen.?

iTunes always prompts me when i go to sync my ipod. how will this software change my ipod?

It won't do anything visibly. I've got one and i update it whever promted - never done it any harm

If by "latest software" you mean the 2.0 update, it's only for the ipod touch, so It would be a waste of money, since it won't work on your ipod.

ya i hav a nano 3rd gen. it doesnt do much but i would cus it could fix glitches and stuff
