I have Posada off the DL and Texiera and Gonzalez at 1B. I dont seem to be getting any interest in him as trade bait.

  1. Keep him!  Attempt to extend a trade offer to get rid of Gonzalez or Texiera if no interest in Martinez yet.  Victor has the potential to have a GREAT 2nd half of season!

  2. I have had Vicky for three years now and I am very fond of him. He doesn't post amazing fantasy stats, but he is a solid player and arguably the best in a small pool of good catchers.

As somebody said before: Keep him, and use his as trade bait with a team that doesn't have a good catcher. Maybe you could package him with a mediocre pitcher to pick up a solid one.

  3. I would shop Texiera or Gonzo, you need to stick with Martinez, even though he has had a subpar year so far.

  4. It's tough to trade Martinez right now so I would hold on to him and I don't know if Posada can be as productive as last year. You're pretty solid at 1B. Sometimes the best trade is the one you don't make.

  5. Keep him. He will pick it up. Offer Posada as trade bait. Just dont drop.

  6. You would be crazy to move teixiera.  Martinez is having a slow year and it probably isn't going to get any better.  Deal with him and mix Posada in while healthy.  Check and see if D. Navarro is available in your league if so he is hot and should continue to be a solid start at catcher.  Also M. Olivia is still available in some leagues.  If you could pick up one of those guys I would move Martinez for a bag of balls and a Mid line Relief pitcher or starting pitcher.  He isn't going to have any value this year but some sucker wants him.  Martinez isn't a top 15 catcher this year so trade him if you can.
