Question:

Should I drop any of these players for Ricky Williams?

Ricky Williams is still available in my league, and I feel like it would be a steal to pick him up. Trouble is, I'm already stacked at the running back position (I have Frank Gore, Larry Johnson, Ronnie Brown, and DeAngelo Williams). If I picked up Ricky, I feel like it would be a great handcuff pick-up since I already have Ronnie Brown. Trouble is, I don't know who I'd drop to get him. My bench currently consists of Ronnie Brown, Earnest Graham, Anthony Gonzalez, DeAngelo Williams, Ted Ginn Jr., and DeSean Jackson. Anyone have suggestions?

I play in a 10 team head-to head league. Thanks!

  1. Wait and see. but your pretty set at RB, so I wouldnt make a move to get Ricky even though he is supposed to start and has looked pretty good in preseason.

  2. I think you would be safe to drop either Earnest Graham or DeAngelo Williams.

I agree Ricky could be a steal/sleeper pick.

  3. Ricky is going to be a risky pick given his condition the past few years...if you're looking for a sleeper home run type guy he could be it...but if you're looking for consistency you may be disappointed. Given that statement...rumors are he will be the starter over Ronnie Brown. Defn keep Earnest as he is the go to guy in TB...DeAngelo might have a pretty good season but he is part of a tandem with Jonathan Stewart who is a bigger 3rd down back, so you will be losing TD's there. Me personally, i would prob take the chance on Ricky and dump Brown since you have 3 quality RB's already in Gore, Johnson, and Graham.

  4. h**l no your bench is sweet especially Ted Ginn, Deangelo Williams Anthony Gonzalez and Desean Jackson they will rack you up some major points this year if they can stay healthy don't bother with Ricky Williams he's not a reliable back and he' s skepticle of injury he's a washed up back

  5. Try for another wide receiver, or a defense. Having a backup defense can be a lifesaver...

  6. I would drop Ted Ginn, Jr. and pick up Ricky Williams.  Ginn could easily be replaced by someone on the waiver wire and he doesn't have as much potential upside as Williams does.

Remember how dominant Ricky was before he went out on his smoke break?  My draft is this weekend, and I will definitely take a late round flyer on Ricky Williams.
