Should I dye my blonde hair red? ?

Question

I have blonde hair but I've always liked the look of people with porcelain complexions and red hair. I want to dye my hair a copper colour, but then I sometimes see people making nasty comments about people with red hair, so should I not do it? Will people call me ginger and that? Should I stay with being blonde?

If I use a temporary colour, will it wash completely out of blonde hair if it's lightened it a bit with Sun In?

i think you should go for it if you want. i would suggest buying a wash-in-wash-out colour first that only lasts a few washes. that way if you don't like it, it will wash out quickly. if you do like it, you could buy a longer lasting dye. don't worry about what people say, and if it upsets you it would wash out quickly! good luck :)

yeah just get something that will wash out, i used to put red streaks in my hair and Avril Lavigne looks cool when she does it

Why not i'm a ginge my two kids and my wife are gingers and proud of the fact. the only people that make comments about people with red hair are of little intelligence because they can't hold normal conversations like normal people so just do it for yourself because if you are having doubts about what people might say then you should not do it but on the other side of the coin you should just to see what people with red hair have to tollerate on a daily basis.

i died my hair bright red before it was really popular and people used to comment on it all the time.. about how nice it was!! :) it just goes ginger really quickly. but you shouldnt care about what people say, and its not natural so if they call you ginger just say "no actually :S its dyed? but its good that you noticed that. well done"

Try it with a wash in wash out color first and see if it suits you.

oh i did the same thing and yeah it looked good but even though it was temporary it did not want to wash out, it went a really strange very pale pink colour in the end and i had to let it grow out :( uless your planning on keeping it ginger for a loooong time, really think about it before you do it, but becasue your a natural blonde, it should suit you, it looked good on me casue im blonde, pale an freckley so i looked naturally ginger lol :) hope i helped x
