My hair is naturally a medium to light brown and I have blonde highlights in it (which actually makes it look naturally blonde) I have never in my life really had dark hair and since the fall and winter are coming up I wanted to try it. I have very light skin (almost pale) green eyes some freckles. Would it look good if I went with a dark auburn? And if so during the spring and summer do u think they could change my hair back to exactly the way it was before the blonde look I had before?

  1. Nooooo! Don't do it! I colored my hair for years and it was always looking "dried out". Hair color really does strip your hairs natural oil. When the color starts to grow out, you are stuck coloring it again and again. If anything get something called a Cellophane. It colors and gives your hair sheen while it gradually washes out. You can buy it at the beauty supply or have it professionally done. I saw last week all these "Makeovers" given to people in New York...Everyone of them had their hair lightened and cut. Dark hair is going out of style again.

  2. wow! i have exactly the same face as u! green eyes reallllllly pale with freckles. ive tried the dark and it doesnt look good. u dont want to have such dark hair for a pale face. it may look good if u get a horter hair cut not short but shorter. u dont wanna have  japanese straightened hair thats long and really dark! ;) and yes they prob can change it to the ways it was b 4!

  3. I honestly think that you should leave your hair the color it is now, but if you are really set on dying it than go to the store and buy hair dye that washes out! Then you can tell if you will like what it looks like, and if you dot than you can just wash it out! If you do like it than you just need to get the color in perminant!

    Good Luck!

  4. Give it a try. I've also got very pale skin and some freckles and have been very dark brown, I'm blond at the moment but both suited me. As long as you don't repeatedly dye it dark you will be able to get your light colour back easily. But if you dye it dark for a long time ( over about 6 colours ), you wil need to get it bleached back to a light colour again.

  5. You could do that, but make sure they use a semi-permanent hair color.  That way it will slowly fade out & you won't ruin your hair by having it bleached like crazy to get the lighter color back.
