I'm 5"2.5 feet tall, and I weigh 92 pounds and am 14 years old AND I'm a girl. Most people say I'm skinny and I need to eat more but I see it oppositely. I have a higher body fat percent thing making me look flabby. My friend and I are the exact same height and weight but she is a lot more bony and skinnier than me (it's really obvious that she's a lot skinnier than me too). But we weigh the same and our height is the same...that's why I try lose more fat on my body to actually LOOK my weight but everyone's telling me not to. Should I exercise more and try to lose pounds of fat and build muscle instead, or should I eat more? My collarbone (chest bone) is really visible too (especially the circle part of it below my neck) but my friend's isn't.

I DON'T GET WHAT I SHOULD DO! My parents say I should eat more and they won't send me to a nutritionalist person because all they can say is "eat more". I know there's more to it, but whenever I eat more my whole body gets fat including the places I'm already flabby which doesn't make the situation any better.

WOW that was long.....hope you can help me :)

  1. First of your 14 so your body is still changing, so try not to worry too much about how you look ok?  Remember its one thing to eat healthier, but another to eat less.  Eat more healthier foods, and maybe exercise more, so you can build more muscle. but don't go too overboard with it.  Do you like any sports? the school year is just starting, maybe if you join a sports team or something, you'll be more active, and have fun too.

  2. Ask your doc.

  3. Your have a very similar body to me I'm a bit older than you though. But that dosn't matter, everyones body looks different, I know that my legs look a bit bigger than my friends but I know I weigh at least 5 kilos less than her. Because your shorter your body looks different but weighs less than taller people. If your happy with your body then just continue what your doing...Don't change just because you think maybe your body type is not the typical 'perfect body' if your happy with it then thats all that matters. I started doing cheerleading and since I have toned up a lot, exersise does reduce your measurements but its harder to loose weight when its muscle. Personally I have learned to accept that I'm short and I'm a woman so I'm going to have hips and thighs and personally I think being short is a really fun.

But you are only young and unlike me have some growing to do so dont worry about your body too much, have fun and eat McDonalds while you can =)
