Should I embroider my daughter's full name or a monogram?

I want to have the inside of my daughter's wedding gown embroidered with her name, in blue, for her "something blue". Should I do her whole name or a monogram? Either way, should I use her maiden last name or married last name? Thanks for any help you can give.

  1. What a beautiful idea! I like the (daughter's initials) + (fiance's initials) suggestion.

You might also do a classic monogram, with her first initial large in the center, her maiden initial smaller on the left, and her married initial smaller on the right. Example, for Jane Smith marry Bill Richards:

    sJr

  2. you can do a kinda before and after thing with her maiden name and her married last name.  you should do her initials.

    if her maiden name is

    jane ashley doe

    and her married name is

    jane ashley smith

then have it look like this

    JAD

    JAS

you know what trying to say?  i think that would be kinda neat!  good luck and have fun

  3. Could you do her first, maiden name and her new name initials?

    Sara Jones Brown...SJB

This way would incorporate both names and both families...just a thought.  Very nice idea to embroider!

  4. I would do her initials and her fiance's initials, and the date

    MS to JD
