Should I enlist in the military?

I'm 24 years old, and regretting I didn't take advantage of schooling when I graduated. I am now REALLY starting to realize how hard it is to make a living- especially in South Florida- with no advanced education. I am drowning in debt and slipping into a depression I've been fearing would come eventually. So- what should I do? Does the military offer me good career training, as well as financial support? I'm considering enlisting, but which branch should I consider? and WHY should I consider them?

Please help me.

  1. While I have no personal experience in the military, my late father was a veteran of WWII in the South Pacific Theater of War.  He served in the U.S. Navy as a member of the Seabees, which are the Construction Battalions of the Navy.  Mainly, he helped build runways on dozens of islands across the Pacific Ocean.  He always recommended the Navy to anyone who asked his advice.  Of course, you will have to make your own decision based on your own interests and goals.  Good luck and God Bless You if and when you ever come into harm's way.
