U GUYS WILL MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE TO EVACUATE TONIGHT. I'M WORRIED ABOUT TORNADOES AND WINDS. I DON'T CARE FOR FLOODING. JUST BE SAFE AND BEAT THE CROWD!!!!!!!!!! SORRY FOR U GUYS.

  2. ASAP. Don't wait for the traffic jamb. I have a bad feeling about this. Noggin is still an idiot who is more interested in politics than in people.

  3. Srsly, it might be a good idea.  Good luck.

  4. if you have the means i'd be getting out of town before the rush starts.

  5. Its too soon to evacuate yet. BUT.............

its never ever too soon to start preparing. Get everything together you need. Figure out your plan of where you are going and where you will stay. Find out if you can take your pets with you. Get any important valuables and paperwork ready to go. Keep a eye on the news.

Nobody knows for certain which way it is going yet-and also it is still days away from hitting land if it does hit New Orleans. So this gives you plenty of time to prepare.

  6. And you ain't left yet?

    Dude...Go...

  7. If it were me I would go ahead and go.  Chertoff is just now on TV at 1 pm. C/T....he says if you want to go now, go and beat the rush.  I have been thru many hurricanes in Texas and as you know you certainly have to be prepared.  I have a motor home and 2 dogs.  I would be stocking it, make sure it was full of gas and put the need supplies in.  I would look at it as a holiday or adventure but there are many people that work, etc. that cannot take those steps right now.  Go if you can.  And I wish you to be safe.

  8. I would if I were you,I am originally from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, if you can why take a chance is staying.  Always a good idea to beat the gridlock.

  9. Go.  Here's the Fema link and more

  10. I would leave immediately.  After Katrina, there is no way I'd stay around with a possible cat 3 or 4 headed my way.  My daughter and grandchildren live in Savannah and I am always monitoring the tropical storm situation because that city would be in major trouble just like New Orleans was with Katrina.  We have an agreement that they are to come back up here to Atlanta even in a cat 1 situation because of the flooding that comes with these storms.
