If so when and with what??

I use Miracle grow on the rest of my Veggies every two weeks.. It is a small garden and the corn is in a separate bed with some sunflowers.

  3. Absolutely corn would like some fertilizer.  Any general fertilizer, and at the frequency the package suggests for vegetables.

  4. YES!!!

Corn is a heavy feeder.  I rotate blood and bone meal around the stems of the corn every few weeks.  I also place day-old coffee grinds around them.  The grinds are full of nitrogen and the corn seems to really like that.

Ammonium sulphate is the fertilizer that most farmers use on their corn.  It's a cheap chemical and one of the best nitrogen-sources available.

You are wise to grow your corn separately from the rest of your vegetables.  I do, too.  This year we have beans and squash growing in alternate rows with our corn.

    Happy eating!
