So last night me and man was driving to a plaza. We drove two different cars. I usually follow. We get into the parking place and a security didn't stop at the stop sign, cut me off and followed my man. After that, I was at the back of the security car. The lane started merging which I didn't even know and the security was driving extra slow and stop in the middle of the street. I was like what's goin on. So I try to pass him and turn left into the parking. He honked, then I stopped, then he stopped, so I went and passed him. After that he started honking at me like crazy. Then all of a sudden a cop was there. I'm not even sure if he saw what happen since he ask me what happen and my man said the stupid security was snitching me off. They argued my version. Of course we all know who wins, the guys with the badge, I mean come on there was 4 of em in the car I was totally by myself. Anyhow, so I got my first ticket. V.C. Section 21755. Please advise.

  1. Nope! You admitted guilt right here!

  2. 21755.  The driver of a motor vehicle may overtake and pass another vehicle upon the right only under conditions permitting such movement in safety. In no event shall such movement be made by driving off the paved or main-traveled portion of the roadway. Always fight for your right.

If the officer saw you leave the paved or main-traveled portion of the roadway the rest of the story is irrelevant.

  4. you should fight all tickets just to show that you are not a blank check for the system to make $ from. They target people like that. You said your 1st ticket but not your age, they also target young people because they don't know to fight for their rights. Also going to court you may win simply because the cop does not show up, odds are he will,  if he does in this case the judge may take your word, since you will most likely have your man there to back up your story, and in any case this may not be the 1st time the judge has seen a questionable ticket by this cop. It's up to you but remember cops get together and talk and the all like someone that just pays the ticket, it's brownie points for them and income for their municipality
