Question:

Should I file an eBay dispute?

On the 13th I bought and paid for an item (spent around £10) from a seller with over 5k+ feedback, 100% positive, however it is now the 26th, and I have still not received the item! I emailed them a few days ago asking what was going how, however they never replied. I am now at odds of what to do- I had assumed it would arrive today after the bank holiday.

Their policy states that they would send it Royal Mail 1st Class; however I never even received an email confirming they had shipped it. eBay recommends that any dispute be made after a minimum of ten days. I paid through paypal so should be covered by their Buyer Protection Policy. Help- what should I do!

  1. If you paid through bank transfer, you need to add  3-5 days to that, as that is the time it takes to finalize a bank funds transfer. If you paid with credit card, you should try to contact the seller again. If you never received an e-mail confirming it had been shipped, I would file a dispute. The person maybe went on vacation and didn't freeze his ebay account, but either way, you aren't getting the goods you paid for.

  2. Wait.

13 days with a bank holiday in the middle isn't too long.

PayPal require you to wait 28 days.

    Wait.

  3. definately! but make paypal dispute first, since theyre linked, and paypal i find is more effective for disputes.

If you dont get a reaction be sure to post a negative feedback (if the seller is being a jerk they normally respond to negative feedback straight away cos they think their reputation is at risk).

Even if you do recieve the item still post negative feedback since they have poor communication, and were slow to send the item.

    good luck

  4. Email again as its been the bank holiday, if by end of week you get nothing, then file a dispute.
