Question:

Should I flush all four of my wisdom teeth sockets?

I got all four wisdom teeth out last week, and this morning I had a check-up appointment. The lady flushed my bottom two sockets out with some water in a syringe and said I should clean my sockets at least once a day for about a month. I was wondering if I should just clean the bottoms ones like the nurse did or do all four? Maybe she meant for me to do all of them but I'm not sure, I didn't think to ask. Also, should the water be warm, or does it matter?

  1. clean all four.. expecaily after u eat.. and use warm watter.. it feels better on your teeth :)

  2. yes if thay get dry and you get dry sockit you will be in pain

  3. SIERRA,

USE LUKEWARM WATER WHEN YOU RINSE. THE BOTTOM ONES ARE EASIER TO SEE AND RINSE THAN THE TOP.

ps, if it's been a week you will  never get dry socket which would occur 24-48 hours post extraction.

  4. I got my wisdom teeth out last week too. I was unlucky with one of my teeth and got dry socket made worse by food getting stuck in the hole. After seeing my surgeon again I've started flushing the sockets using warm salty water after every time I eat. The warm water is less likely to hurt sensitive teeth and the temperature helps to draw out the impurities. I figure do them all - it's better to be safe than sorry, and it only takes a couple of mins.
