Should I get A gerbil,or Hamster?

Question

I was wondering the other day what i should get.

Info on me:

I love both

I love playing

I love to be energetic

I like to be lazy

I love animals.

I know most of you will say it's your decision but I need help with my decision.

I don't think it will matter much to you, but when I had a hamster he would get loose all the time and p**p all over my room and it would rattle the bars of it's cage at night, waking me up. Although a hamster is more common at pet stores.

gerbils in MY OPINION is better as they are cleaner they can be in pairs they never bite and the come out erlier then hamsters and they are much more fun to watch but bad things are they have a habbit of scratching fist tank corners u have to have a fish tank or gerbilarium these are better as they are made for gerbils

hamster...jut don't get a dwarf hamster because they they tend to be downers (you know...not energetic.) I think  a teddy bear hamster would be the best for you

I just bought a dwarf hamsterrr!!

They are sooooooo cute and small!!

Even my boyfriend is in love with her.

gerbils are smaller and faster, making it harder to play with them

hamsters like being carried and are cuter too!

When I had gerbils I found they were awake more in the day and less at night than hamsters which personally I thought was much better!

I say Gerbil, but go to your pet store and hold a gerbil and a hamster to see which one you feel more comfortable with.

Have fun with either one, there are so many cool things you can get for them.
