  1. List of lizards i have or had

Anoles- i currently have 2 but 3 have died from old age they are decent you can kind of hold them but because they are fast it kind of a challenge  holding them they don't really bite unless you really aggravate them. they are cheap but don't live as long as other lizards and they eat crickets

Leopard geckos- i have 3 Bandit Gem and Snipe very friendly and cute  nocturnal but still active during the day having more than one is fun cause i don't why it just is very easy to hold most of them are not agressive as long as you dont squeeze while you're holding them

African fat tailed gecko- almost the same as leopard geckos but different colors and maybe a couple other minor differences

Bearded dragons- never personaly owned one but know several people that do you can hold them they're faster than the leopard gecko but still pretty manageable its not a gecko but its a good pet lizard

House Geckos- imagine the speed of light x2 in the shape of a lizard running around your house and it can walk on walls and ceilings dont get one

Crested Geckos- basically like bigger versions of house geckos but slower and more easily handleable so its decent

I know i missed a few but really my opinion for the best gecko would  be a leopard gecko or african fat tailed gecko not exactly the cheapest lizards but i think the money is worth it

  2.   It depends on if you would like to hold it. A leopard gecko is going to be the most common answer. They are very friendly but they are night time guys. Ever thought about a bearded dragon?

  3. I only know of one anole, but i would recommend a leopard gecko for a great pet...easy to take care of and friendly towards people.  I even have mine running up to me everytime i open the cage....another gecko you might look into is the crested gecko.  They look really cool and are easy to care for, but they are not as people friendly and mellow as leopard geckos, though I have seen some thay will calm down around people.  Look at pictures of these two kinds at www.kingsnake.com
