Should I get Pokemon Emerald or Leaf Green/Fire Red?

I like the old Pokemon and the old games. But I'm looking for a game for my SP with better shizz on it. What do each of those games offer? And which has longer gameplay?

Get fire red or leaf grenn its just better because its a classic and the gameplay is longer

My Son who is 10 says go for emerald because you can get better Pokemon and the game is more fun. Although he says the leaf and fire red take longer and are harder to play.  He also pointed out that if he could just get one he would go for Diamond sorry to throw another one in the mix.

I am 13 and I have pokemon fire red and it sucks so get pokemon emerald

Well both games aproximatelly have the same length of story mode because in emerald you must beat both team aqua and magma and you have the battle frontier and the search for groudon and kyogre.

But in fire red and leaf green you have the story line where you collect all badges and defeat giovani and then explore the rainbow islands.

If you like the old pokemon i would say you should go for pokemon fire red or leaf green. Thats what i would have chosen : )
