Should I get a Playstation 3?

Okay, I don't have a PS3. Should I get one? I mean the 360's claim to fame is good online and... well Halo 3. But the PS3 seems to be more of a media hub. And the early complaints of "not enough exclusives, lower hard drive, etc.," now are fixed. Why do people still complain about the PS3? I think I'll get one for LBP and Home. And Uncharted. And Warhawk. So what do you think? Should I wait for more games? Wait for a PS4/hardware redesign, or just go ahead and buy it?

I have one and i personally love it. My only issue with it is all my friends have xboxs so i can't play online with them. Basically, like you said, theres alot of exlusives coming out that will be great (Resistance, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, LBP, SOCOM, Warhawk, Uncharted, and M.A.G). The online is free and it works just as good as XBL, despite what alot of people say. I have mine hooked up to my wireless network and it works great. I love watching blu ray movies and being able to listen to the music stored on the ps3 on my stereo system. Its just an all around great system, i would highly reccommend getting one.

you just made a BAD decision...

All things that you have stated are FALSE!!! PS3 has loads of BIG exclusives. Lets take out Gears of War and Halo 3, what other exclusives come to mind? Compared to PS3, Gran Turismo, Ratchet and Clank, SOCOM, Metal Gear Solid, God of War, Resistance, etc. all are proven AAA titles. Only Gears of War and Halo 3 are AAA titles for Xbox 360...

As far as the hard drive goes, PS3 has BIGGER hard drives than 360.

PS3 has 2 models with 80gb and 160gb hard drives

Xbox 360 has 3 models, 1 with no hard drive, 1 with 60gb hard drive, and last one with 120gb hard drive.

Also not to mention, you can upgrade your PS3 with any laptop hard drives up to 500gb. You can only buy Microsoft's hard drives(20gb: $90--- 120gb: $180). You could pay somewhere between $200-$250 for a 500gb HDD for PS3 making xbox 360's harddrive a BIG rip-off

Xbox Avatars clearly are a RIP-OFF to Wii's Mii. The avatars are Microsoft's answer to Playstation Home, LMAO. That clearly shows that Microsoft is running out of ideas/innovations to support their system. All they do is copy Sony and Nintendo's ideas to make xbox 360 "better" but its really making it look bad.

You have to pay $50 a year to play on Xbox Live. Playstation Network is free and offers the same exact features that Xbox Live... The reason why PSN is better is because it has Dedicated Servers unlike XBL with no dedicated servers... Thats why most games on XBL are so laggy while most arent laggy on PSN. So why pay $50 for a laggy service when PSN is free with minimal lags??

PS4 will not come out at least by 2012. This October/November is the best time to buy a PS3 with the 160gb model coming out along with loads of AAA exclusive titles coming for PS3 unlike only 2 AAA titles for 360(Gears 2 and Fable 2)

Last thing, Gears of War came out in 2006 and that game is the best graphics the 360 can achieve, meaning its MAXED out. Look at Gears 1 and Gears 2, they both look virtually identical. Look at Metal Gear Solid 4, it BLOWS Gears 1's graphics out of the water and guess what? the PS3 is capable to have better graphics than MGS4!!!! So rethink your choice and choose WISELY

Get one. You're not only getting a crazy next-gen gaming console with decent amount of games to choose from, you're also getting a very versatile multimedia center with tons of latest features. It has a built-in web browser. Sony's firmware constantly improve and add new features updates. PS3 is just a lot of serious fun for dedicated gamer.

I would definately wait.  Both systems will only get better.  The Xbox 360 is about to releasea fall update that will totally change the interface of the 360, idk this might change your mind;likewise the PS3 will surely get more games that will only improve the system.  

My opinion would be to wait if I was in your situation.  But I am content with only an XBOX 360.....for now lol

Well it depends what all your uses will be for. obviously you like the online which is a benefit for ps3 as there is no annual fee for online. also if you are interested ps3 has the blue ray which itself makes the ps3 valuable...but for me the only reason i would buy it is for metal gear solid series ;)
