I'm 16 nd my step-mom said she would get me one of the two. 16 year olds make a lot of stupid decisions so i thought i might need a little help.

  1. go with the bike, gets you outside and is good for your health

  2. Take the bicycle!  I still have the bike I bought at 16, and still ride it (along with other bikes).  I am now over 50 and I will bet you that the Wii will not last that long.

The bike will not only be a good work out for you, it will take you places -- real places not virtual.  Meet new people, see the wonder of the outdoors.

Get the Wii later --like Christmas-- and play it inside when it's too cold and snowy to ride.

  3. asking the cycling community's preference for bikes, like asking a barber if you need a haircut.

I'm guessing if you asked the gaming community this question they'd say Wii.

Wii's all weather, can be total body workout, and safer, with no exposure to car traffic and accidents.

The best activity for fitness is the one you'll do; the one that's fun and you want to do.

Social considerations? which one has your fav playmates?

I'm, among other things a longtime cyclist.  I like being outdoors; sunshine, fresh air, real challenges and skills.

Real sensations than cannot be virtually simulated; smells, physical feedback from the bike, the road, the wind, real surround sound and scenery.

    good luck

  4. you must gel the bike for your health

  5. bike for sure besides wiis don't really count as exercise no matter what they want you to think

  6. The Wii has no interesting games and becomes boring very quickly.

A bike will take you places and is much more interesting.

  7. Bike.
