  1. You may want to post your question in Cars & Transportation, Car Makes, Volkswagen. We golfers aren't that mechanical and don't like to get our hands dirty..


  2. A CAI draws in more cold air and gives you better throttle response and allows you to uncork the intake side of your engine,drawing colder fresh air compared to a shorty. If you're living in areas with frequent rainfall, you're better off using a shorty  than the CAI.
