  1. I'd say get both. get the dog 1st cuz cats can be territorial. As an ASPCA rescuer you are going to come across animals that you fall in love with and will end up adopting yourself. Good luck!!!

  2. I say both- b/c I love both!  But, it depends how hectic and busy your schedule will be.  Dogs need attention, played with, walked, etc...

Cats need food, a clean litter box, scratching post, and a place to sleep, preferably on your lower legs.

  3. i would say you should start off with just one.

if your child is very young i think you should get a cat.

you just have to feed it, play with it, and change the litter box.

with a dog, you have to take them out and train them not to go to the bathroom in the house.

if you're home alone with the child you can't go out with the dog and just leave him/her home alone.

once your child gets older you should get a dog.

i would say get one about the time they go into kindergarten.

then you have time to train it.

    :)

  4. Both.

    ;)

  5. i think u hood get a cat and dog for the dog has some one to play with or the cat has some one to play with cause i have a cat and dog and its funny how Thai play its cute

  6. A lil' puppy

    =]

  7. Eww sick cats gross!!! get a dog they are way better if you train them right. get a snake.

  8. i love pets, cats are easier to take care of and dont require tons of attention, as dogs usually do. but both make great friends and theyre equally cute. it all depends on if you have alot of time to devote to them.

  9. get both, i am not that keen a fan of dogs but i think  they are great protection and if you bring them up with cats aswell then they become much friendlier. but get a pup and a kitten so they become used to each other. but it's up to you. if you put your hand on heart and asked yourself which one do you want, wat wouldd you go for, dog, cat or both???

  10. Both. Get a kitten & a puppy together, so they will be accustomed to each other and grow up together. Then as a rescuer you could also foster many others to help get them ready for new homes.

  11. Depends on how much work you want to put into it. Cats are easier to take care of but dogs can be more rewarding personality wise.

  12. you should get a dog. i have a labradoodle and he is great with my little sister. he's also fun to go swimming with. australian cattle dogs are great too.
