  1. Yes, I own one (the slim one) and It is great. It sucks up more dirt than a regular vaccumm. However, it also sucks up a lot of carpet fibers from my rugs.  I was hesitant about hte price but I thik it's worth it.

  2. My friend has one of the ball dysons and it's not that great!! Every time she pulls it back towards her when vacuuming it sucks the carpet so hard it actually skids along the carpet making it nearly impossible to vacuum.

  3. I have the Eureka Boss SmartVac and I love it! Consumer Reports rated it a Best Buy over Dyson, and it does a great job. I have a husband who works construction, kids, pets, and it gets all their dirt/dust/hair/etc... up, no problems. The suction from the accessory hose is great and it has a switch to turn the beater bar off so you can use it on any type of flooring. It costs about $140 at Wal-Mart. I clean houses, so I've used a lot of different vacuums, and I wouldn't buy another type of vacuum now, after having this one. I've had it 4 1/2 years, and it works like new. Hope this helps. Good luck!
