  1. It really depends on you. Do you have alot of money, or are you on a budget? Would you mind squeeky wheels? How much space do you have available? Do you want to be able to put them in run about balls?

    Hamster:

won't take up as much room

    less money

    smaller

    cuter (in my opinion)

    squeeky wheels

    obsessed with chewing

    Pigs

    Bigger

    need to be in pairs

    more money

    takes up more room

squeek all the time and are very noisy

  2. I would get a hamster cuz they r easier to care for.

  3. Guinea pig

    Hamsters are easily squashed

  4. Hamsters are a lot cheaper and easier to take care of, but they aren't as social as guinea pigs. It's all depening on how much time and money you have. If you have more of both, I say guinea pig because they are cute, friendly, like people, and will bond with you. If you have less of both, go with hamster. They don't need people, not only don't like to but can't ive in pairs, bite a bit more, but are still a furry friend for you to have.

Hamsters are the smarter choice for those who really want a pet but can't devote themselves to it.

Guinea pigs are better as a friend, but only if you have the time.

If you choose guinea pig, feel free to message me with any questions on what they need and all that stuff. I know a lot about them and could probably explain a lot better then those hard to read websites. Always here tohelp :)

  5. guinea pigs they live longer and they dont smell as bad and i personaly thnk there really cute

  6. Hamsters bite more often and guinea pigs are more calm. I think guinea pigs would be better because they're big and have a less chance of escaping, since there's also guinea pig leashes. I have a hamster and he's mean and territorial.. :[ (can't put them in leash)

  7. I've owned them both, and personally highly prefer guinea pigs. It  depends on how much money you have to pay, how much time you have to commit to the pet(s), and what things you are looking for specifically in your new pet(s).

    Hamsters:

    Very easy to care for

Take up a small amount of space

    Shorter life span (1-3 years)

If you get a Syrian you only need one

    Not very cuddly

    More hyper/play more with toys

Doesn't bond as well with people

    More easily lost

    Guinea Pigs:

    Difficult to care for

Takes up a large amount of space (see http://www.cavycages.com )

    Longer life span(5-8 years)

Must live in at least pairs

    Generally very cuddly

Do not play well with toys

Bond with humans to an extent

Not easily lost outside of the cage

  8. it depends.

guinea pigs -need alot of room not a cage. like a C&C cage they rarely liked to be graved. they like being with their own kind instead of humans. but it could start liking you once youve showed it lots lots lots of love and earn hes/her trust. and never bite when being picked up. but they do need a special diet.

hamsters- buy them a neat color cage. they like running around all around anywhere you put them. but they do bite when you pick them up and sometimes make you bleed 0_0

they are more easier to lose and sit down on.

i would go with a guinea pig they are much more fun to put on your lap or watch a movie with :)

guinea pigs- it would be best to buy them in pairs

  9. OMG plz get a hamster bc they are very nice and cute if u treat them right! my hamster is awesome and she never bites but my friend had a pig and all it did was run away from anyone even my friend and it always bit and snapped at us! get a hamster they are cheaper too!anyway pigs r ugly!

    hope i help!

  10. GUINEA PIG!!

hamsters get lost easily, are more fragile, more prone to diseases, bite A LOT, and need a ball and wheel whereas guinea pigs do not. And are nocturnal.

Guinea pigs don't try to run away from you, don't get hurt easily, don't need balls or wheels, don't p**p as much. Not nocturnal. :)

I wonder which one to choose....?

  11. I have a guinea pig and I used to have a hamster. I love my guinea pig a lot and they live a lot longer than hamsters.

  12. GUINEA PIGS ROCK! I HAD ONE THAT DIED AND I LOVED HIM MORE THAN ANYTHING PEOPLE DO NOT GET ATTACHED TO HAMSTERS BACAUSE THEY DO NOTHING.  GUINEA PIGS ARE THE CUTEST LOVE MACHINES EVER! YOU WILL NOT REGRET HAVING A GUINEA PIG.  THEY ARE LIKE LITTLE PUPPIES FULL OF LOVE AND THEY ARE VERY SOCIABLE AND EACH HAVE THEIR OWN PERSONALITY.

  13. Why a Guinea Pig- Guinea pigs are very cute and affectionate. They will squeak when you come into their room as if to say hi to you! They do not squeak all the time like some people say, and they do not bite and are easy to take care of!

Why Not a Hamster (in my opinion)- To me, my friend had one and it constantly got loose and bit her and her family. Plus, they may disturb you when you're sleeping by running around in their cage, and going on their wheel.

So I reccommend a guinea pig, but you do what you want!
