I'm always buying things at kohls for the regular or sale price. What would the card have to offer me? Do you get special discounts? Do you use the card each time to get the discounts. etc etc. For those who have one do you like it?

  1. Not if your a big spender The more credit cards you have the easier it is to spend as if money can grow on trees.

If you are not a big spender but kohls is your favorite store to shop at, go for it. Just know your limits

  2. wrong place to ask this question..

but try it and see what it offers.. some store credit cards offer customers certain perks

  3. As long as you don't spend more than you can pay off when you get the bill.  Department store credit cards usually have higher interest rates and go up quicker if you miss a payment or if you are late on a payment

  4. Yes I most definitely recommend it if you have a steady income and plan on paying off the card.

Here's the whole deal with the card:

    - A Kohl's Charge is strictly a Kohl's Department store card so it can't be used anywhere else, but Kohls stores and Kohls.com

The issuing bank is Chase Bank USA.

By applying for a card, you give permission for Chase to conduct a credit check.

If you have sufficient credit, you'll probably get one. Most people who I open cards for average about $1000 or $1500 for a new account. When I first got mine, it was for $300 limit (i had just started building credit)

Kohl's Charge customers save 15%-30% TWELVE TIMES A YEAR with special discounts for using their card. PLUS MOST OF THESE DISCOUNTS ARE GOOD FOR ONE FULL DAY'S PURCHASES OR A WHOLE SALE LENGTH AND EVEN VAILD FOR USE ON KOHLS.COM!!!

There are two levels of Kohl's Charges:

    Non-MVC and MVC

MVC is "Most Valued Customer". Spend more than $600 a year (Feb to Jan) on your KC and achieve this status with SIX EXTRA 15% PICK A DAY coupons.

Other exclusive offers are the Kohl's Cash sales, where if you use your Kohl's Charge you get $10 coupon for every $50 you spend on the card. Happens every so often.

Okay, back to the specifics about the card:

    - Several Ways to Pay:

    Online (link your checking account)

    By regular mail

-----> IN STORES (cash/check/store gift card*) NO DEBIT

    Drop off at customer service

(*some states don't allow the use of the kohls gift cards on payments)

    - Finance Charge options:

In the states of AR, CO, CT, DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, TN, VA, or WI you will have the option of avoiding a Finance Charge in any billing period if you pay one¬third of the new balance as set forth on your Statement, but not less than $50. If your New Balance is $50 or less, you must pay the entire New Balance to avoid Finance Charges in the following month.

The APR is 21.9% fixed and there is no annual fee.

If you know you're not gonna be approved, most Kohl's will still give you the discount for trying to apply. (at least we do in CT)

Also, you get a bonus coupon for 10% or 15% (depends on promotion times) for getting a new card in the mail. So when you get your brand spankin new Kohl's Charge for the first time, you can break it in with a little shopping trip.

One last thing is that we can look up your card with your Social Security number (and a valid Driver's License for verification) So if you forgot to bring it, you'll always have access to it.

Whew! I think I covered everything. If you have any questions about the card, please message me with any questions.

here's the link to the kohls charge card agreement:

send me a message if you still got questions

  5. Kohl's charge customers get target marketing and more frequent discount offers.  If you shop there a lot it sounds like a good idea.
