Should I get a lock for my locker at school?

I am starting 7th grade and we have lockers, should I get a lock for it? They have a lock built in, yet it doesn't lock, lol.

lol yeah i suggest you get a lock unless your school is abnormally small or safe.

If it would make you feel better, then go for it, or carry all your valuables with you.

its not so bad if you dont use your locker. i nevr did.

but if you use it get a lock.

yeah just bring an extra lock just in case. When I was in middle school my stuff got stolen all the time, so yeah its a good idea.

What is the purpose of a lock built in if it doesn't lock? That's silly.  I would definitely get a lock BUT check with the school first; I know it is against policy at our school to put our own locks on the locker - if we do then you are made to take it off - and if you refuse or continue to put it on the custodians cut it off.
