  1. If you are thinking prenup when your considering marriage I personal think your not ready to get married or that the person your about to marry is not for you. Even  though in today's society many marriages don't work, I think it's very unhealthy to go into any relationship with doubt. You should research things such as alimony and prenups. If you do you will find that the person you marry wouldn't be entitled you anything from you unless you were married for at least 10 years. When you see the hollywood stars going to court they usually have been married for s long period of time. So that's something else you should give some consideration to.

  2. Yes!  I would!  There are way too many golddiggers out there.

I've seen a few of my good male friends be totally screwed by very short term marriages and their hard earned work!!!

  3. yes and i have said this in all of these questions but i will say it again a prenup doesnt affect anything in the marriage it only comes in to play if things go sour she didn't help build it if anything happens she shouldnt get any piece of it !

  4. ABSOLUTELY!!!! and if she has a problem with it then that shows she may have ulterior motives...lol

  5. That's up to you. I mean if you are all about money and so is she, then maybe so. I think it depends on what is important to you. Sounds like maybe you shouldn't be getting married!

  6. If there is an iota of resistance to your protection a personal asset like a business before marriage, I would be highly suspect of her intentions.

I cannot begin to tell you how many guys I know who had a nice business before getting married who lost them in a divorce proceeding.

It is the division of those "marital" assets which cause this.

Do not even buy into the argument that you should be willing to GIVE IT ALL to the relationship.

Keep your business for yourself and do yourself a big favor and keep her from working there.

Separate business from pleasure (love and marriage ) and you will be far better off in the long run.

The jury is in and there are more than a few women who are more interested in your wallet than your love.

  7. Heck yea!

  8. Yes, most definitely.  Too many gold diggers out there, if she can't understand that your just protecting yourself, then most likely she is one and you'll need to run the other direction instead of marrying her.

I made my first wife sign one, and was very glad i did.  Wasn't long in to our marriage before i found that she was only in it for the money.

  9. yep

  10. Yes!

You should also research Family Law (and maybe Business Law too) in your particular state.  Remember, pre-nups aren't foolproof and many have been voided in recent years.  She could always say she signed it under duress.  Don't assume that you are protected just because you have a pre-nup.  Seek advice from an attorney first.

  11. Yep!

  12. Unfortunately I say yes you should, even though I didn't feel the need to have one in my marriage.

  13. YES!

  14. Yes. The court system treats people with wealth poorly in many divorce situations.

  15. I did, both men and women who own business must protect themselves if they're considering marrying.

We all want to believe that marriages will last a last life time, but reality shows that 1/2 of all marriages will end. It's good to be optimistic, but you also must be prepared.

We live in a materialistic society and even the most cautious person can wind with a gold digger who try to suck you for everything you have if something goes wrong with the marriage.

Do yourself and your future a favor, protect your business. Since that seems to be your only concern, you are being very reasonable. Remember, protecting your business also protects your workers who need jobs.

  16. If its already a successful business and had it long before you meant your fiancee. Then hands down do a prenup. your not going to be losing anything. They might not like it. but hey you have to look out for yourself sometimes. They may say they wouldn't but they would. If they don't marry you because of that then you know they weren't the right person for after all.

  17. YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
