  3. They don't cost a lot

They may smell if you don't clean out there cage every week

Very loving, just don't get one that is scared they don't grow out of it!

  4. There's great care info here http://www.rabbit.org and http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/r...

  5. 10 THINGS TO ASK YOURSELF BEFORE GETTING A RABBIT

1 Which adults in the family will be the primary caretakers?

2 Are you prepared for a possible 10-year commitment to this rabbit?

3 Does everyone in your family want a rabbit?

4 Are you prepared to provide proper veterinary care, including the spaying and/or neutering of your rabbit, and any necessary vet visits?

5 Do you have an appropriate cage and supplies?

6 Is your home "bunny-proofed"? (cover wires, keep away poisonous plants, etc)

7 Do you have animals that could endanger the rabbit? (Rabbits can die even when only frightened by a predator.)

8 Will you be able to supervise any children around this rabbit?

9 If you move, get married, have a baby, or if the kids lose interest, are you prepared to keep your rabbit?

10 Can you adopt a rabbit from the SPCA instead of buying one?

  6. Rabbits can cost a lot. Especially if you keep them caged. A cage big enough at a pet store would cost about 70 bucks. You need litter boxes, food dishes. They MUST have timothy hay daily which you can buy at pet or feed stores. They also need veggies daily as well. Also rabbits can get bored easily so they need toys to stimulate their mind. So it can be a bit pricey. I started growing my own veggies and buy hay in large amounts at a feed store and I don't cage my rabbit so  I'm not going broke by having him.

If they are taken care of well and their living area is cleaned then no they do not. My rabbit smells ten times better than my guinea pigs. Rabbits also like to be clean so they bathe themselves.

Some rabbits are more loving than others. I've seen some rabbits snuggle up with their owner and others that like to be more independent. My rabbit snuggles when he wants to and I never force him. Rabbits are prey animals so it's instinct they will be scared. Once they learn to trust you and know that you will not hurt them (or you bribe them with treats haha) then a very special relationship can develop. My rabbit used to stomp his feet on the ground when my roommate would bring someone I didn't know home, got a bit annoying but I know he was trying to alert me.

Rabbits need several hours a day out of the cage so if you plan to keep your bun locked up, I suggest not getting one. It would also be a VERY wise idea to spay or neuter your rabbit. They are much calmer, relaxed, use their litter box MUCH better, and risk of diseases decrease by a long shot.

It's hard to say what kind of pet would be good because I don't know how much time you have to spend with the animal, your budget, etc.

  7. no they dont cost alot an average price for a rabbit is about $20-$30

dont get one from the pet store coz they can get sick and carry diseases .. search for your nearest rabbit breeder.

they only smell if you havnt cleaned out their cage.

    they are extremely loving

  8. Cost: My locally owned pet store sells baby rabbits for $30 and my local Petco sells big ones for about $100. (I bought a baby for $30.) I think the cage I got was about $80 but it definitely wasn't the cheapest one available.

The smell is almost non existent unless you don't clean the cage for many weeks.

They are soft, sweet, fun and playful pets. Rabbits like to flip things in the air with their mouths. Pet stores sell toys but my rabbit likes playing cards the best.

I've heard that if you want a more friendly rabbit, you should only get one because if you have more than one, they will bond with each other more than they'll bond with you.

The biggest problem I have with my rabbit is that she likes to dig through her food dish the find the pieces she likes the best and that makes a mess in her cage and on the floor around her cage.

Also, my food dish is too deep because if I let the food level goes down too much, the edge of the dish rubs on my rabbits neck until the fur is gone so I've always got to keep my food dish filled to the top.

One thing I will tell you is that if you are worried about an animal that smells and you decide not to get a rabbit, don't get a guinea pig. I would clean my guinea pigs cage and the minute she left droppings it would smell like I hadn't cleaned the cage in weeks.

  9. They don't cost so much

They smell if you don't clean their cage out only the p**p the bunny might smell good(:

    They're loving and snuggly.

    Its a good pet.

But Rabbits can get pretty high maintenance So you have to do your best do keep them from smelling

Give them loving and act like they're a good pet ;)

My bunny domino makes me laugh.

And i think bunnies are good ways to work up responsibility.

u need time prepared on the side for vets, Shots.

Who's gonna watch the bunny while your away ?

  10. Do They Cost A Lot:

Not generally, but it really depends what age, and breed your looking for, and who your purchasing from, I suggest adopting fro ma shelter, or buying from a breeder, breeders are usually more expencive but they usually have good breeding lines.

    Do They Smell:

It depends on where and what the conditions of your rabbits living area is.

If you clean the cage about every 3-4 days, and clean up urine, then no, they smell quite nice! xD

Also, males tend to spray, so males may smell

but generally females do not smell

    Are They Loving?

Yes, rabbits are very loving, and bond very easily!

If this doesn't sound Like The Right Pet?

How about a Guinea Pig? Or a Ferret?

  11. Cost a lot: No.

Do they smell: I own 2, a foot away, you smell nothing!

    Loving: Yes :)

  12. i own 5 rabbits...

-they don't cost much maybe $20 from a shelter

-they don't smell if you take care of them properly, their urine smells    so you must keep its cage clean

-they are very loving but usually don't like to be held

*rabbit are really good pets but it sometimes takes them a while to warm up to you. Most people get them just because they think that rabbits are cute and cuddly but they require just as much work as other pets do. They can be very sensitive and curious an make great pets. RABBITS DON'T HAVE BABIES AS FAST AS PEOPLE THINK.
