Question:

Should I get a range rover?

I'm a 16 year old guy and my dad asked me if i wanted a range rover. I said I would think about it. I was kind if told that the car was mainly a girl car. Is that true some of the people told me that but I didnt know what to think about it and I just thought they where jelouse but should I GeT it? I really like the car. Any other car you can recommend that is more or less to a range rovers high status?

no it's a people's car. just not great for fuel economy. and if you want to sell it, it'll be worth 25% of what you paid for it.

ask for like a Ford Flex.

If you like it, get it. Personally, I don't like how it's value drops so quickly and it doesn't have that great of fuel efficiency. I would spend the same amount of money on a sports car but I dont know how much money you have to work with.

Well it's slowly becoming a girls car with the way Land Rover is making them now. It's a good car but it depreciates very quickly and fuel efficiency is very poor. Gas isn't getting any cheaper so always consider your fuel and maintenance costs.

High status? Not in the US.

They're overpriced, expensive to maintain, drink gas, and about as reliable as a Russian missile silo. Much, much better choices out there for a "status" SUV.

Being called a "girly car" would be the least of my concerns.

No way it's a girls car...it's in 50 Cent lyrics (and just about every other hip hop icon)...and you know those guys aren't rapping about a chick car!

No other SUV is going to have the status and street cred of a Range Rover.

No. Range Rovers are overpriced and Land Rover has been the most unreliable brand in the US for 6 years now.
