Should I get a realtor?

So I found a short sale home I want to put an offer in; I know how much I want to bid, how much of closing costs I want to pay, and I will be pre-approved from a VA loan this week - should I get a realtor???

It doesn't cost you anything, they write your contract, and will give you an idea of what's selling at what price.  What's stopping you?

Yes you should.  But be prepared for a long wait to get an answer on an attempted short sale.  You should be aware that most short sale attempts do not succeed.

On most short sales, the loan is $400,000 and the asking price is $250,000.  That is what gets buyers (you) so excited.  Wow, what a deal.  The problem is that the bank did not approve this $250,000 price.  The seller is using you and your offer to bring the bank to the "bargaining table".  

You are being fooled and foolish.  Run for the hills.  There are a million houses for sale. Get one.  /

Yes!! Quickly, there is a mountain of paper work and the Realtor®  will take care of it for you at no cost to you.  Buyers agents are paid commission by the seller.
