Question:

Should I get a vehicle check on my car before my road trip if I bought my car in March?

I am taking a road trip, totaling about 700 miles. I was wondering if I should get a full-service check to make sure my car is in top-notch condition before I go, or if an oil change and air filter change is sufficient? I bought my car in March and I'm pretty sure they did a full-service check (it was through a dealership) and I know they replaced some brake pads. It is a 2005 Toyota Camry XLE and in pretty great condition, from what I can tell. Please provide some advice! Thank you :)

  1. basic oil/air should be good enough. Might ask the people doing that how the belt looks.

  2. i would just to be safe

  3. mm answer was good,  How do you feel about the car ? If it was mine and i would give a 2nd thought about driving cross country then i'd get checked out.

  4. D'oh... of course.  And join the Auto Club, great security and they give lots of free goodies for the road.  Have a ball touring the countryside.
