Should I get acrylic nails?

Question

So I constantly bite my nails and they're really thin. I want to get acrylics, but I'm afraid that when I get them off my nails will pretty much be non-existent. Everyone tells me they're too much of a pain and it's really bad for your nails, but I thought it might help me with the nail biting problem.

Should I get them..?

I bite on my nails too, and I'm not sure why however I went to get Acrylic nails and then never bited them again! But then when I took those acrylic nails out, my nails were so weak that It can be equivalent to biting your nails as well. But try it out, it's actually very nice, just take care of it because you'll realize that it's actually very unsanitary sometimes.

Lol, i have the same problem. I bite my nails =( and I hate it!! I did acrylics once. I had them for about 2 1/2 months. My nails are really weak and now I have to apply a clear coat of nail polish everyday to keep them stronger. =( It's such a pain. When I had them, I kept breaking them off because I use my hands a lot =P [Piano, Violin,etc.] I started biting after again! My nails kept breaking because they were so weak so I bit them =( I suggest you do something else to stop the biting.

i have had acrylics for about two months they are a hastle and cost about 30 to get put on and 20 to fill i dont think you schould because you bit your nails

i dont know they might help because they are thick but you have to find something else to bite than your nails like chew gum

no,they file down your real nails, that's the worst thing you can do . try getting a silk wrap instead

my friend got something called pink and white nails and they're healthier for your nails and look more real.
