I have a choice to get an apt w/ a washer/dryer hook up or without. Getting an actual washer/dryer is not a prob and the cost for the apt's is the same. I didnt know which would be cheaper. To pay $1.25 at the laundry facility or to pay extra on water & electric.

  1. With.

It is so much easier than always going to the laundry mat.

  2. go for the unit with the machines.

  3. With.  This way you don't have to trek to the laundry room.  You will be so much happier having it inside your apartment.   +++

  4. with-just in case!

  5. I t's much easier with HOWEVER if finances are an issue compare the extra rent to how much it would cost you in gas and quarters to us a coin operated washer/dryer.

  6. There is another option - choose an apartment if you can with a clothes line and dry your clothes the environmentally friendly way - in the sun. If this is not possible and you choose an apartment that has a washer and dryer I would invest in a fold up clothes airer and place it on a balcony if you have one on fine days or dry inside if it is raining. Many of our clothes these days dry fairly quickly anyway and if you live in a centrally heated apartment the clothes will dry ok too. Its bound to save you some money anyway and produce less carbon release into the environment because thats less electricity used and generated.

  7. with- figure it this way.  for example you do three loads of laundry a week  3x1.25 = 3.75/week  plus what ever it cost to dry.  so let's say it cost 75 per load to dry that's another 2.25 add that with the wash price and you have 6.00 per week I don't use 6.00 per month on water in a house with 3 kids.

  8. Just my preference but I would get a apt w/ a washer/dryer hook up. I have sensitive skin and can only use certain detergents. I live in an apartment with out a hook up and I've gotta take my laundry home to my parents and do it there.

  9. It is much easier to do your laundry at your apt. but on the other hand, if you have to pay for water and electric, you might be better off taking it to the laundry mat.  They usually have a laundry mat right in your apt. complex.

  10. its going to be really handy to have a washer and dryer in ur apartment, then  u dont have to worry about going in and out with all ur clothes and whatever else u have to wash. it makes life so much easier....

  11. With.

  12. with gas at 4.00 a gallon get the hook ups. especially if you have kids.

  13. Get it with, it costs next to nothing to run a washer and dryer.

And why go to the laundry mat where it is dirty and sit and wait when you can do your laundry in the comfort of your own home?

  14. Without a doubt, WITH.Here is a little calculator for you to use that will help you figure out what it would cost you to run the washer and dryer.  http://energyaudit-sdge.sempra.com/appca...

But, the hassle of lugging the laundry, the gas to get there, waiting around while you do it and the overall time savings is well worth what you will spend to be able to do it at home.

  15. Pay extra on water & electric.

You'll end up paying more at the laundry facility in the long run.

  16. It is still your choice, but you must decide between convenience in washing and drying hours, and whether you want to go to a laundromat or the laundry room in your building at times when it is empty or little used. Short term costs would be lower using the laundry, but long term buying your washer/dryer and being able to move it to your next place would be better.

  17. get the hook up.

  18. get a washer and dryer its a drag having to take laundry out

  19. with - i always argue at the laundra mat
